Latin mass at Church of the Advent this evening, the Anglo-Catholic communion in San Francisco. Arguing against 18th c. Deistic notions, the preacher disclosed his conviction that God is pantheistically present in all things, material and not. This is indeed exciting news: now I'll know whom to blame the next time my hemorrhoids start acting up.
